

Lloyd William Gee, 92, passed away on February 10, 2011. Born August 29, 1918 in the Blackjack community of Burleson County, Texas, Lloyd was the oldest son of Oscar and Edna Gee. He attended school in Blackjack and Chriesman, Texas. He worked for the CCC's and helped with the construction of Bastrop State Park. During WWII he served as a member of the 92nd Signal Battalion of the United States Army. After returning from his Army service, he moved to Houston, and in 1946 married Alma Telg, also from Burleson County. Lloyd worked for John Mueller Co. and was the Parts Manager for Hunt Engine/Geosource. He lived in the Oak Forest neighborhood for 58 years and has been a member of Oaks Presbyterian Church since 1954. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and sisters Opal Gee, Gertrude Love, and Vesta Mills. He is survived by daughter, Donna Gee; son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Gisele Gee and grandchildren Collin and Kelsey Gee; brothers Thomas and Donald Gee; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 PM until 8 PM on Sunday, February 13th, 2011 at Heights Funeral Home in Houston Texas. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 14th, 2011 at 10 AM in the chapel of Heights Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Chriesman Community Cemetery at 3:30 PM in Chriesman, Texas.
