Lloyd "Buddy" O'Grady

Lloyd "Buddy" O’Grady passed away peacefully on July 10, 2018 surrounded by his devoted, beautiful wife, his sunshine, the love of his life, Theresa Martino O’Grady of 52 years and his loving daughters: Lisa Ginther, husband Bryan, and Jackie Tamez, husband Benny.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents: Rolla M. O’Grady Jr., Mary Jane O’Grady and brother, Sonny O’Grady. Survived by his sister, Rosemary Williams, husband Homer, numerous nieces and nephews and many life long friends. Buddy’s joy were his Grandchildren: Brittany Grimes, husband David, Jacqueline “Blake” Charman, husband Kevin, Chase and Chloe Tamez and great grand-children: Benjamin and Hannah Grimes and Adley Charman.

He graduated from Reagan High School in 1961 and on to Local Union 1778 Glazer School. Buddy was the kindest, most giving man, always there for everyone, all who knew him, loved him. He always had a big smile on his face and a welcoming, HOWDY when he saw you or answering the phone and loved a good ol’ hotdog and a cold Budweiser! He loved NASCAR, Talladega was his favorite race, which he most recently visited in April and enjoyed every minute of it!

Lloyd was an accomplished business man, starting his own glass company, Image Glass and Mirror, Inc. over 38 years ago. He so loved working hard, running his company and doing things right! He fought colon cancer bravely, never once complaining, always smiling through it all. His doctors and staff often said he was the bright spot in their day!

We know daddy’s loved ones got a big HOWDY when he arrived in heaven! We have not lost our precious daddy, for we know where he is in heaven. Dilly! Dilly!
