Logan Thomas Hastings

Logan was a member of Chapelwood United Methodist Church. Logan attended Memorial Drive Elementary School, Spring Branch Middle School and Memorial High School. Logan was a current senior at Dulles High School, where he was passionate about writing, music, and spending time with his friends.

From a young age, Logan demonstrated talent on the basketball court and watching him play was a true delight. He also had a passion for skateboarding, dedicating countless hours to perfecting his tricks with relentless determination. His talent and drive were evident in all he pursued.

Logan’s faith was very important to him and could be seen in the way he treated others. He consistently put others before himself, showing love in every gesture. Logan was a beautiful soul with a gentle heart, spreading warmth and joy to everyone he encountered. He effortlessly brought smiles and laughter wherever he went. Logan’s never-ending care for others was unmatched.

Logan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Thomas "Tommy" Flagler Hastings Jr. and his paternal great grandfather, Thomas Flagler Hastings. Logan is survived by his parents, Amy Hastings and Thomas Hastings both of Houston, TX; as well as his maternal grandparents, Doris and Charles Alderman of Meridian, MS; paternal grandmothers, Leslie Hastings and Pia Hastings of Houston, TX. Logan is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Stephanie and Marion Gray, of Baton Rouge, LA; Kandi and Chuck Alderman of Tupelo, MS; Madison and Stuart Ford of Houston, TX; Taylor Hastings and Grayson Hastings both of Houston, TX, as well as many cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Although Logan’s time with us was far too short, the light of his spirit will continue to shine in the lives of those he touched. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you honor Logan’s memory by performing a daily act of kindness. Logan believed in compassion, acceptance, and following your own path. We hope to continue Logan’s legacy through these simple, yet meaningful gestures.
