Lois Catherine Stanton Brow

Lois Catherine Brow was freed from the perils of this mortal life on Sunday, April 25, 2010. Born September 4, 1932, Lois, the eldest of five brothers and two sisters, grew up in Wyoming and settled in Houston in 1965. Lois became very active in the Charity Guild of Catholic Women and Lady Fingers, and as a past-President and Life Member of the St. Cecilia Women’s Club was instrumental in organizing and sustaining the Good Neighbor Committee.

Lois is survived by her husband of 57 years LeRoy, daughters Jan Marie, Rae, and Gail, son Michael and four grandchildren.

Lois joins her angelic daughters Theresa Helen and Carey Catherine in the glorious realm of our Heavenly Father.

The family will receive friends in the chapel of Waltrip Funeral Directors on Wednesday, April 28th from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm where the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm followed by a Vigil service lead by Deacon Don Bradley.

At 11:00 am on Thursday morning, April 29, 2010, the Funeral Liturgy at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc, will begin with Bishop Vincent M. Rizzotto as celebrant and a reception will follow.

Rite of Committal will begin at 1:30 pm at Memorial Oaks Cemetery on I-10 West and Eldridge.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations which honor Lois be made to the Charity Guild of Catholic Women, the St Cecilia Women's Club or the charity of your choice.
