To Aunt Lois's four beautiful and my first cousins ladies Rose Ann, Patricia, Laura and Fanny, I want all of you to know that your mother was a most special person and  lady which I will miss so much like so many others.  Every time I saw your mom I saw my mom and many tears begin to well. Your mother was so special for many reasons - How she took care of your dad Raymond during his last years, how she fed him when he could no longer handle the spoon or fork for himself, how she struggled to get him to bed;  your mom was the ultimate caretaker, how she loved Raymond! These things I will never forget about your mother.  She is now in the hands of the Lord receiving her just reward.  May God bless all of you and please carry on your moms traditions and love for family.

The main thing I'll always remember about Aunt Lois is how she would always welcome everyone with arms wide open. She'd make sure anyone and everyone was comfortable. I know when my mom would say we're going to see Aunt Lois, that there was always something to eat over there 😉 and great conversation! The advice she'd give was always the right words and somehow you'd feel so much better walking out that door in the end. Loved Aunt Lois and I send my condolences to all my family on that side. Losing her will take time and it will be really hard knowing and accepting she's no longer with us. It's a grieving process that within time the pain will go away some. Not completely but just realizing she's no longer in any pain and is now reunited with the rest of our loved ones who have passed. To the girls especially, I'm deeply deeply, sorry for your loss. God bless ✝️

It was a beautiful service for her today. Although I did not know her well, Teresa Landry, my mother did. They were close and she was loving, and for that I am truly grateful.

Lois was always a good friend to all my family.  All my daughters remember her fondly.  She always managed to attend all our family functions until she could no longer travel far.  My brothers and their spouses, Guadalupe and Minnie Mendiola and Roy and Tina Mendiola sent their heartfelt condolences.  Due to health problems,  none of them are able to travel at this time and asked me to let the family know that all of you are in their thoughts and prayers.  Many blessings and prayers for each and everyone of you.  We will miss her.

Lois was a dear friend.  We always had fun shopping for groceries, church functions with sister.  Shared recipes learned a lot from my friend.   She will be deadly missed, she was my rock when ever I needed advice always there.  I have many memories and plants from cuttings she gave me.  Always will be constant reminder when sitting in the back yard enjoying all of the flowers.   She was very proud of all of the girls, she would tell me she was a burden because they all were over there 24 7 and she said they had their lives and felt bad they had to take care of her. Told her that she was no burden she was a loved mom.  I will my miss my friend.  Girls please always remember how proud she was of all of you .
Girls please remember i am a phone call away if ever needed.   Rest now my friend and thank you so much for being my rock.

So sorry to hear of Sweet Lois passing.
I enjoyed our visits in the kitchen and long talks.  She always offered recipes with hands on lessons.
She will be missed in the neighborhood.
May her Daughters find peace with fond memories of her.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your beautiful mother. May you find comfort in knowing that she is in a beautiful place with the Lord, and your loving father.

To my dear cousins who lost their beloved mother, my Aunt Lois. I know it is very difficult to loose your mother. But, with our faith in God we can eventually accept this deep sadness. Lois was always a gracious hostess, as her home became "Grand Central Station" after my parents Sarah and Gus moved from the neighborhood. She always had hand made tortillas on hand and a fresh pot of coffee.  She greeted everyone with a smile. She was always a good ' Go To Person' for Gutierrez history.  She was my  personal 411 operator. She shared many recipes with me, to this day I use her corn bread dressing recipe(I never got my mom's recipe).
She will be missed by many especially all the first cousins. She was our MOM too, since all of us had lost our moms.
Deepest sympathy to Rose Ann, Laura, Tricia and Ramona(aka Fanny). To all the grandchildren and great grandchildren you'll had a great Granny.




I'm so sorry to hear about Lois.  She was my mothers best friend.  She was always so kind.  When I was at my mothers she would call and I would talk to her.  When they talked I would always hear my mother laughing so hard.  I'm really going to miss her so much.  Just think she has seen the face a God and she's with all her family and friends.
