Lola Mable Sadler, age 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 14, 2026. Mable was born on September 15, 1929 in Tupelo, Mississippi to John Oliver and Annie Mae Harlow. Mable is survived by her sons Danny and Barry; daughter Traci; sister-in-law Doris Sadler; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Mable was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years David Sadler; her parents John Oliver Harlow and Annie Mae Harlow; her brother Marion Oliver Harlow; her sister Karen Ann Harlow; and many other family members and friends. Mable grew up in Memphis Tennessee with her parents and her brother and sister. The Harlow family moved to Houston Texas in 1950. After a few years in Houston, Mable met David Sadler and they married in 1955. David and Mable went on to start their own family, and they lived in Houston for the remainder of their lives. David was one of nine children, so the Sadler’s were always a very large family. There were many large holiday gatherings and family celebrations throughout the years. The Sadler Family had their first Christmas Eve party on December 24, 1958. These were always very large gatherings of family and friends. Although many of the loved ones who attended the annual party have passed on, the Sadler Family Christmas Eve party still takes place to this day. After David passed away in 2016, people would always make sure to come by the Sadler home on Christmas Eve to see Mable. She loved having people over to house, and Mable was always excited to see who showed up own Christmas Eve. Mable was loved by so many people during her long life, and she will be missed by everyone that knew her.
