Loren Lee Jenkins

Loren is survived by La Doyce, his loving wife of 46 years; daughters Lorenda Williford and husband Wally, Linda Thacker, Cindy Boesl and husband Bill; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 brother, 2 sisters; numerous family and friends.

Loren was born in Harrisburg,IL on April 20, 1935. He attended high school in Galveston, TX before moving to Houston as a young adult . For many years he was owner of Jenkins Business Machines and was current owner of Houses for Rent Co.

He was an active member of the Harrisburg Rotary Club and enjoyed traveling with Foretravel Motorcade Club and Gulf Coast Sports. He was a long time member of Park Place Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011 from 5 to 8 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St. Houston, TX 77023. www.forestparklawndalefh.com

The funeral service will be Tuesday January 25, 2011 at 10 am at Park Place Baptist Church 4101 Broadway St. Houston, TX 77087, with Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Park Place Baptist Church.
