She accepted her spiritual walk of life at an early age. She was the spouse of her late husband, Elmo Buchanan, where they both loved and enjoyed their entrepreneurship business as owners of Buchanan Cleaners on West Montgomery Road in (Acres Home) Houston, Texas for several decades.
Lottie was an active member and musician at New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She later became a member of Charity Missionary Baptist Church.
Lottie Buchanan leaves to cherish her memories: her brother Millard Hodge Sr. of Houston, Texas; her sister-in-law Vertie Hodge of Houston, Texas; her brother-in-law I.V. Hamilton of Huntsville, Alabama; her aunt Othella Moss of Houston, Texas; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
