On Friday, January 3, 2014, Louis Ray Duck, 64, went to be with His Lord, Jesus. "Louie" was born on March 14, 1949 in Snyder, TX to Raymond & Nell Duck and has resided in Houston for over 40 years. He was a 1968 graduate of Westbury High School and a 1972 graduate of Howard Payne University.
His career in Sales & Marketing to the Rental, Construction and Demolition Tool Industry spanned 40 years, most recently with Atlas Copco Construction Tool.
Louie was a member and Deacon of Houston’s First Baptist Church for 34 years leaving to help “plant” Bayou City Fellowship of Houston, the past two years.
Louie is survived by his wife of 42 years, Vicky Zinkgraf Duck, daughter and son-in-law Catha & Ryan Jaynes of Houston, Texas, and daughter and son-in-law Crista & Nick Henderson of Bastrop, TX; and grandsons, Parker Henderson & Henry Louis Jaynes, who were his absolute delight. In addition, he is survived by his parents Ray & Nell Duck of Sulphur Springs, TX; his sister, LaVerna Hipp of Sulphur Springs, TX, and his sister-in-law & brother-in-law Marty & Bobby File of Amarillo, TX; nephew and nieces, Jamie & Jenny Hipp of Corinth, TX; Teri & Jason Meskimen of McKinney, TX; Tricia and David Hulet of Valencia, CA; and Megan & Brady Schenk of Canyon, TX and great nieces and nephews Noah, Landry, McKenna, & Hunter Meskimen, Jordan, Taylor, and Karis Hipp; Riley & Graham Schenk. He invested in & left behind countless friends, thought of as family.
There will be a celebration of Louie’s life at 10 AM Tuesday, January 7 in the Worship Center of Houston’s First Baptist Church, 7401 Katy Freeway at Loop 610, Houston, TX.
