Louis L. Molano, a retiree of Spring Branch ISD, died on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.

Louis was born on December 31, 1937 in Houston, Texas, and is preceded in death by his parents Pete and Anita Molano; sisters, Francis (Angelo) Espinoza, Lydia Soriaz, Teresa (Arthur) Castro, Marie (Eugene) Gutierrez, twins, Bertha and Pauline Molano; brothers, Pete Molano, Arthur (Eloise) Molano, Albert Molano, and Jesse Molano.

Louis is survived by his wife of 55 years, Virginia Molano; his children, Mary Pillow and Jose Molano, Sr; proud "Wello" to his grandchildren, Johnny Ramirez, Cecilia Molano, Jose Molano, Jr., Alonzo (Silvana) Davis, II, and Joseph Pillow; and great-grandchildren, Dylan Davis, Aylanah Davis, Damien Gonzales and Julian Davis. Louis leaves behind a sister, Dolores (Edward) Pazlicek.

He truly lived life through the simplest things; chatting with family and friends; snacking on what was clearly not on his diet (junk food); and channel surfing; boy, did he love watching wrestling, and those Kardashians. He found pleasure in taking on tasks around the house from painting, gardening, to creating wire hangers from paper clips, for his great-granddaughter's Barbie dolls. His sense of humor will always bring great memories to those who knew him.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Waltrip Funeral Directors. A Vigil service will begin at 6:30 p.m., led by Deacon Dennis Hayes. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Rev. Michael Barrosa, celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow in Historic Hollywood Cemetery.

To the Molano family. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I used to call Mr. Molano (Gomez) from the Adam's Family because I thought he looked like Gomez. He didn't seem to have a problem with my nickname for him. 😊 He was always good to me. May you RIP Gomez. And just know that after all of these years I still love all of you. Nothing will ever change that. You're in my prayers.

I will miss tio. You where very special to me. You help raise me and taught me a lot of things. You always listen to me and protected me. You made me laugh all the time. I know that you are longer in pain and you are in heaven with my daddy. I will always carry your memories in my heart. RIP Tio....❤😥😥
