LOUIS LEE RUMFOLO was born September 19th, 1948, to Louis and Rosalie Rumfolo in Houston, Texas. He peacefully passed away June 3, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Louis graduated from St. Pius X and shortly after joined the Houston Fire Department where he served over 31 years, retiring as a Captain in 2003. Louis was a remarkable man, he was quiet and reserved but when he spoke everyone listened, as his words always carried a value understood by all. Never married but he was a true family man, he was a loyal and caring son to his mother, he was a leader and protector to his brothers and sisters, always there, always dependable without fail regardless of the situation. He spent much of his time as a horseman, owning and training racehorses throughout his life, he was a highly respected handicapper in the sport and amongst his peers at the track. He had an astute ability to gauge a racehorse’s talent based on their physical conformation and behavior. He shared this passion with his father, brothers and nephews, teaching as the years passed, some of it about horses, some of it about life. He taught patience, respect, and loyalty all the while leading by example, he was a friend to all. Louis will be dearly missed and greatly loved. He joins his parents and his older brother Johnny Rumfolo in Heaven. He is survived by sister-in-law, Linda Rumfolo; sister, Annette Noski, and husband Alfred; brother, Donald Rumfolo, and wife Tanya; sister, Mary Ann Noski, and husband Marion; sister, Patty Rumfolo. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who adored him including his buddy and great nephew Brayden Noski.
