Though she only had a 3rd grade education, she could read simple books, loved to color, write and spell her name. She enjoyed tossing a ball with the kids or anyone who would play with her. Louisa resided at Vista Nursing and Rehab and loved to do group exercises, play bingo, play checkers and beating the residents at dominos. She also loved eating in the dining room and would not leave until her plate was completely clean even if it took her an hour or more to eat. She also liked getting her hair done in the beauty shop. She would say, "Mira mis curleys".
When talking with Louisa, the conversation always included, Dad, Mom, and naming each of her brothers and sisters. She never forgot about them.
