Lovina Mama B. Himburg

Lovina B. Himburg, born August 13, 1921 to Ben and Lovina Brookman in Strawn, Texas, passed away July 25, 2010 in Houston. Lovina was preceded in death by several loving family members, and is survived by son, Fred B. Himburg and wife, Charlene; daughters, Suzan F. Stringer and husband, Ken, Patricia R. Mullins and husband, Mike, and Phyllis H. DeLano; grandchildren, Karen McKim, Fred N. Himburg, Adam DeLano, Dallas Mullins, and Ashley Delano; great-grandchildren, Kayla Himburg, Kandyce Ramirez, Austin Himburg, Faith Himburg, Kaycee DeLano, and Braxton DeLano, and other family and friends.

Lovina was a smart, warm woman who loved the outdoors and cared deeply for others. Her family was her world, and she was theirs, too. Lovina was “Mama” to everyone she knew.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Glenwood Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
