Mrs. Lucy Mae Phillips, 82, made her transition on April 9, 2013. She was born May 17, 1930 in Huntsville, TX . She was preceded in death by husband, Edward Louis Phillips, and sons David Louis Phillips, Charles Booker, and Robert Earl Walker. Mrs. Phillips is survived by her daughter, Dr. Khadija Jannah; two sons, Jesse and Dwight Phillips; grandson, Gregory Jackson; granddaughter, Renee Jackson; three great grandsons, Raphael, Rayvon, and Rashad Malveaux; two great granddaughters, Precious Bartley and Jasmine Jackson; and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are six sisters, two brothers, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Eric Maus, Dr. Nahid Rianon, and the staff at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Michelle Peck and the staff at UT Physicians Geriatric Clinic, Vitas Hospice, and healthcare aide for the last three years, Theresa Broussard.
