Lulene Gregg

Rosie Lulene Gregg passed away on January 8, 2024 in Houston, Texas. She was born in Montgomery County on August 3, 1923, to Lula Mae and Clarence Hosford and grew up on 23rd Street in The Heights. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 53 years, Walter E. Gregg, who passed in 1994. She will be fondly remembered for her love of family and the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She lived a full, independent life up to her last days and will be deeply missed.

Lulene worked at J.C. Penney's and Sears on South Main in Houston during summers in her late teens and at the post office while her husband served in The Marine Corps during WWII. In her 40's she took the Licensed Vocational Nurse course and worked at the Methodist Hospital in the Houston Medical Center.

Lulene is preceded in death by her husband and her grandson, Randy Wright. She is survived by her children, Judy Wright and Sherry Blehm; son-in-law, Bob Blehm; grandchildren, Cristal Brister and Clayton Blehm; great-grandchildren, Serena Wright, Cadence Arango, Ashton Blehm, Juliet Blehm, and Callan Blehm; and great-great-grandchildren Micah and Mia Arango. She also is survived by nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much, and a host of friends.
