Lurline touched many lives and will always be remembered in our hearts.

The memories of brownies on the kitchen counter, the hall closet with all the
toys and the band practices in the living room are just a few of the memories
that I will never forget. So sorry for your loss she was such a big part of
our family growing up.

I know that Lurline heard, "Well done, you good and faithful servant," when she entered into rest.  What an honor and privilege to have had our cousin Lurline in our lives all these years!  Your love and laughter continue on in our hearts.

In no way can a simple message sum up what a grandmother is. Toys, cakes, games and spoiling was a very small part of my memories of Mamma now. Being told stories of her youth, looking for shapes in the clouds,being rocked and held, laughing and talking all night and ending it listening to the ships on the channel all blow the horns together. That is what you take with you forever. Not the fancy toys or places you go but the time spent showing each other who you are on the inside and loving the time you spend together.

Sadly due to illness we can not be there to stand by our best friend, mother, and most of all Grams, to help her say goodbye. We Love you Mom and Dad.(Alana and Eddie)

Lurline was just about the age of my own mother but she was actually the daughter of my mom's older sister, so Lurline was my mother's niece.  We saw her a lot while we grew up but them seldom after I moved away hundreds of miles away from her.

I last saw her about 5 years ago in a care center and found her to still be a lively and delightful person to be around.  She has now joined so many of her friends and family members and no doubt is now at rest from the pains of her life.

Lurline was a beautiful soul and a colorful character! She brought an array of light and love into everyone's life she met.  Our family was truly blessed to have her as long as we did. I know she is rejoicing in her heavenly home being reunited with family. I will miss knowing that she is here but give praise that she is with her Savior. Jody and Molly, you and your family are in my prayers. 

Lurline always had her door open to anyone who walked in.  People practically would revolve in and out of her kitchen coming to get their free lunch and chat for awhile everyday back in the 70's. She was too good to people and made sure everyone was always happy. Peace and love to her dear sweet daughter she always talked so much about. Now Lurline may rest with her beloved husband.

My Cousin Lurline was one of the kindest people I have ever known.  Her disposition was so sunny that she could brighten anyone's bad day just by giving you that big smile and laugh.  She would do anything for her family members and was a fabulous cook to boot.always ready to cook up something for any extra person who happened to come by and I think for any neighbor as well.  She was such a big part of our family and was like a sister to my Mother Gertrude since they were only 2 years apart and Lurline was actually Mother's neice.  The world has lost a truly stellar human being with the passing of Lurline and we will all miss her so much.

We beat the drum slowly and played the fife lowly,
And bitterly wept as we bore her along.
For we loved our comrade, so friendly, and wanting of love,
We all loved our comrade, although she'd done wrong.
