She was born in Belleview, Kentucky on June 22, 1927, and grew up in New Orleans, LA. Lydia married her husband George in 1951. They moved to Dallas in 1953, and became members of the Saint Pius X Catholic Church. Lydia was an active volunteer, and established a daycare center for the church.
She is survived by her children, George IV, Eileen and her husband David Sheard, Brian and his wife Kathy, Madeleine Marchesseault and her husband Wes; as well as many grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 6, from 5:00-8:00 pm, with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm at Heights Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 7, at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church Building Fund.
