

Madeline Mary Haberman, 85 years young, passed away on January 28th, 2021 in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born on September 7th, 1935 in Staten Island, New York to parents, Andrew and Anna (Scotto) Gambardella. Growing up, she attended St. Peter’s High School for Girls in Staten Island, NY.
Madeline married the love of her life, George Edward Haberman and from that union, four sons were born. They spent 43 years together before George’s death in 2000.
She spent many years working in administration for Spring Independent School District until her retirement. Madeline had a servant’s heart, and it was evident through her passion to serve as a volunteer in numerous ministries at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. A wonderful Italian cook, she enjoyed preparing meals and hosting her many friends for their regular card games. Above all else, Madeline was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She held her family close to her heart.
Madeline was preceded in death by her husband George, son Robert, and grandson Luke.
Left to carry on her legacy are her sons; Richard (Evette), Gerard (Cheryl), and Thomas (Bernadette). Daughter in-law; Julie. Grandchildren; Elyse, Andrew, Ryan, Nicole, Lauren, Courtney, Emily, Matthew and James. Great-granddaughter; Kenna. Sister; Florence.
Please join the family at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home for a Visitation on Wednesday, February 10th from 6-8pm with a Rosary being recited at 6:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Thursday, February 11th at St. Ignatius Catholic Church 7810 Cypresswood Drive Spring, Texas 77379. Burial will immediately follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations be made to one of Madeline’s favorite charities, HOPE Center, where she cooked and served meals to the homeless.
