Madeline Alma Miller, 91, passed away on May 27, 2016. She was in hospice care at Brookdale Senior Living in Friendswood, Texas. She was born on December 15, 1924 in San Antonio, Texas to James A. Berg and Winnie Smith.
Madeline was a loving wife to Buck for 64 years, and mother of three children. Madeline was a member of the Church of Christ and always wanted to be known for her love of God and serving others as best she could. Madeline faced life with a positive attitude even in these later years with all her difficulties with hearing, sight and mobility, she would praise God for each day no matter what it brought and say "I'm so thankful for what I still have". She didn't complain, but apologized for her inability to understand what you were saying or that she couldn't see something although she would try real hard to understand or see. Madeline was an extraordinary woman who was always looking for ways to help others, and in her latter years she would still offer to help in any way she could, but would definitely be a prayer warrior for all.
Madeline is preceded in death by her husband Robert David "Buck" Miller, Sr., brother Eldon Smith Berg and son in law Samuel Lucas. She is survived by her brother Robert Windell Berg, daughter Cheryl Ann Wilkins, son Robert David Miller, Jr., daughter Sherry Wineta Lucas, daughter in law Judy Batey Miller, 10 grandchildren David Hancock, Kenneth Hancock, Ralph Wilkins, Schone Rubio, Ronald Lucas, Stephen Lucas, Kevin Lucas, Robert Miller, Danny Miller and David Miller, 13 great grandchildren Christopher Hancock, Branden Hancock, Erin Hancock, Rachel Hancock, Tana Hancock, Elise Wilkins, Eden Rubio, Devin Lucas, Tristan Lucas, Gabriel Lucas, Madeline Lucas, Addisyn Miller and Robert Miller IV.
