Madeline Thompson

Madeline Thompson, 94, joined our Lord at 12:45 July 14,2014. She is survived by her husband Alfred Thompson; son, Richard Thompson and wife, Donna; daughter Linda Maki and husband, Alan; daughter Sandra Sanders and husband, John; and grandchildren Daniel Thompson, Teri Boggs, Kerry Steve Thompson, Cheri Thompson, Sean Maki, Josh Maki, Lisa Stratta, Laura Garza. Great grandchildren include Dustin Thompson, Kerry Michael Thompson, Dalton Thompson, Jessica Thompson, Jeremy Thompson, Devin Boggs, Terah Thompson, Anthony Porter, Mia Maki, Dylan Maki, Dutch Maki, Joey Stratta, Charlie Stratta, Madeline Stratta, Robert (Bubba) Broussard and Heather Hobartsch. Great great grandchildren John Michael Thompson, Ally Thompson, Riley Thompson, Brooklyn Thompson, Corban Porter, G'Anna Boggs, Kyla Thompson, Kaylob Thompson and Declan Broussard.

She was born May 13, 1920 in Houston, Texas to Charlotte Nails and Claud K. Gray. Madeline was married to Alfred S. Thompson for 76 years (May 28, 1938). She attended Incarnate Word Academy and later became a cosmetologist owning her own shop for many years. She and Alfred spent a number of years in Venezuela and later in Spain with Gulf Oil. Alfred's job afforded them many travel opportunities which she loved. She had a passion for reading and writing poetry and was an outstanding cook.
