

Maida Earline (Adams) Vogt, 81, of Pasadena, Texas passed away on Thursday February 17, 2011. Earline was born on March 5, 1929 in McMahan, Texas, the youngest of three children to Earl and Myrtle Adams. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles H. Vogt, three sons; Jonathan and wife Leah of Orange, TX; Joel and wife Pamela of Morgantown, WV; Jay and wife Ivonne of Houston, TX, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and her brother, Thomas Clifton Adams of Houston, TX. She was preceeded in death by her parents and her brother Garth Adams.
Earline was a respected long time math teacher and counselor at Southmore Intermediate School, Pasadena ISD where she instilled a love of learning in mathematics for hundreds of students. She was an active retired teacher and enjoyed attending her hometown reunions and family affairs. Earline and Charles have been members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Houston for more than 50 years.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, February 20, 2011 at 1:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St. in Houston followed at 2:00pm by a memorial service officiated by Rev. Grant Housewright. A private interment service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Monday, February 21, 2011.
