Manuel G. Garza

He loved to fish and watch football with his family. He enjoyed playing with all of his grandchildren and could make any baby smile and laugh. He was an avid movie watcher and at one time had collected hundreds of movies. He liked watching political talk shows so he could yell at the TV. He was a Custom Home Builder by trade, specializing in beautiful, detailed trim work for cabinets and doors. He built many of the homes in Katy and Champions Forest area, as well as the home he lived in with his loving wife and family making long lasting memories that will be cherished forever.

Manuel/Dad is preceded in death by 3 siblings; Miguel, Carlos & Francisca.

He is survived by his loving spouse of 46 years, Petra Barrera Garza. He is also survived by 10 children, Elizabeth Garza Turner, Irene Garza Winebarger, Norma Garza Richardson, Teresa Garza Davila, Mercedes Griffith, Rachel Hillinski, Margie Robertson, Virginia Robles, Reynaldo Garcia & Mary Martinez. Nine wonderful son-in-laws and one vivacious daughter-in-law Vicky Garcia, 29 loving grandchildren and many great grandchildren; and 4 Siblings : 2 brothers & 2 sisters - Leonardo, Roberto, Dolores (Lola) & Carmen.

Visitation and Rosary will be Friday, February 13, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060. Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
