

Marguerite was born on December 29, 1920 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was the oldest child of Thomas Earl Gossett and Grace Clark Gossett. In her early years, Marguerite’s family moved to Houston where she attended Lanier Junior High and San Jacinto High School. Marguerite graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physical Education in 1941, where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. That same year, she married Dr. Ed S Crocker and they later had two children. She was a life-long member of Second Baptist Church and her later years were spent at Treemont Retirement Community.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her father Thomas Earl Gossett, her mother Grace Clark Gossett, her brother Thomas Earl Gossett Jr. and his wife Kitty.
Marguerite is survived by her daughter Grace Crocker Crapitto and husband Louis A. Crapitto Jr., her son Ed S. Crocker III and wife Debra, her four grandchildren Shelly Crapitto Howard and husband Patrick, Louis A. Crapitto III and wife Marcy, Courtney E. Crocker and Ed S. Crocker IV and wife Anne. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Forest Park Lawndale, where she will be laid to rest next to her mother and father.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care Marguerite was given by the staff of Treemont and the members of Second Baptist Church, who faithfully visited her through the years.
