On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, Maria Dolores Robles de Cerda, mother of six and grandmother of 18, went to be with the Lord at the age of 59. She was born on March 20, 1959, in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico to Jose Robles and Maria del Socorro Briones. She was a woman that loved with all her heart. She married her husband, twice. Together they raised six children. Jose Pablo, Rosa Elva, Baltazar (deceased), Ismael, Vanessa, and Ingrid. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren. Denise, Daniel, Ricardo Angel, Baltazar, Atlaî, Kayla, Destiny, Desiree, Joseph, Noah, Kenneth, Michael, Luis, Julia, Matthew, Jesus Adrian, Miguel Angel, and Jacob Anthony. She is also survived by her brother Ruben, Ismael, and Marcos. Also, she is survived by her two sisters, Rosa Estela, and Ingrid Antonia as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved and adored!
Mami Lola was the name her grandchildren would call her then everyone else did too.
Mami Lola loved dancing. She was always the first to find a partner to dance a good ol’ cumbia with her. She never hesitated on giving or helping anyone who asked for her help.
She ran a catering business for many years. She was happy when the Houston Chronicle mentioned her in the paper for her tamales and gorditas. Cooking was one of her passions. She loved to feed her loved ones from the oldest to her youngest, neighbors, friends, and family.
