Maria Paz Duran

Maria was raised in Camden/Livingston, Texas and eventually moved to Houston, Texas where the majority of her family, relatives resided. She loved visiting her aunts, uncles and cousins. On April 6,1946, she married Martin Duran and together raised 6 children. Maria's hobbies and interests consisted of painting, pottery (ceramic) and floral arrangements! She was a loving soul and will be dearly missed.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Lily and Quirino Olivarez; brother, David Olivarez and great-grandchild, Justin Reynolds.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 76 years, Martin Y. Duran; daughters, Mary Helen and husband, Larry Milnar and Loretta Juarez; sons, Louis and wife, Phyllis Duran, Martin Duran Jr., Alfred Duran and Edward and wife, Yvette Duran; grandchildren, Joann Reynolds, Priscilla Duran, Brittney Harkness, Tiffany Juarez, Michael Duran and Mark Cortes. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Juli Reynolds, Isaiah Duran, Moses Duran, Abigail Cortes and Isaiah Villarreal.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or The Houston Food Bank.
