Maria del Rosario Garza

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter and sister, Maria del Rosario Garza at the age of 53. She entered the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on November 20, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her parents, Rosario and Margarita Garza. Her siblings, Roberto, Mónica, and Adrian. Her sister-in-law, Jennifer (Roberto) and niece Zsalee (Roberto). She is also survived by many loving uncles, aunts, and cousins. Awaiting her arrival with our Lord & Savior are her much adored grandparents, Maria and Zeferino Romero, her loved uncles and her cousin.

As the oldest sibling/cousin she had a steady group of “willing” students to bully into “playing school” with her where she was always the teacher! The play of her life would define her life as a Montessori teacher. She inspired countless students with her patience, creativity, and compassion. She fiercely believed in the power of learning and the promise within every child. Her classroom was a place of laughter, curiosity, and warmth, and her impact will live on in the countless lives she touched.

She was a lifelong lover of adventure—whether found in the pages of a book, on a television screen, or experiences she had while traveling the world. She had the ability to strike up conversations with strangers on planes, in lines, or at concerts much to the chagrin of her concert/travel buddies.

Stubborn in the best way possible and fearless in her convictions she stood up for what she believed in with courage. She was not afraid to defend those who needed support.

She loved going to concerts. She proudly took many children to their first concerts, introducing them to the magic, energy, buzz, excitement of the crowd, the music, and an introduction into fandom. She was ready to take the youngest generation of cousins to their first boyband concert.

She leaves behind family and friends who adored her and who will forever celebrate the joy she brought into their lives. Her legacy of kindness, learning, and love will live on in all who knew her.

The Garza family would like to thank everyone for their expressions of sympathy, prayers and all acts of kindness extended to them during their hour of grief.

Es con gran tristeza que anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida hija y hermana, María del Rosario Garza, a la edad de 53 años. Ella entró en los brazos amorosos de nuestro Señor Jesucristo el 20 de noviembre de 2025. Estaba rodeada por su amada familia.

Le sobreviven sus padres, Rosario y Margarita Garza. Sus hermanos, Roberto, Mónica y Adrian. Su cuñada, Jennifer (Roberto) y su sobrina Zsalee (Roberto). También le sobreviven muchos tíos, tías y primos queridos. Esperando su llegada con nuestro Señor están sus adorados abuelos, María y Zeferino Romero, sus queridos tíos y su primo.

Como la hermana y prima mayor, tenía un grupo constante de estudiantes "dispuestos" para intimidar a "jugar a la escuela" con ella, ¡Donde siempre fue la maestra! El juego de su infancia definiría su vida como maestra de Montessori. Inspiró a innumerables estudiantes con su paciencia, creatividad y compasión. Ella creía ferozmente en el poder del aprendizaje y la promesa dentro de cada niño. Su salon era un lugar de risa, curiosidad y calidez, y su impacto vivirá en las innumerables vidas que tocó.

Fue una amante de la aventura de toda la vida, ya fuera en las páginas de un libro, en una pantalla de televisión o experiencias que tuvo mientras viajaba por el mundo. Tenía la capacidad de entablar conversaciones con extraños en aviones, haciendo filas o en conciertos, para el disgusto de sus compañeros de concierto/viaje.

Terca de la mejor manera posible y sin miedo en sus convicciones, defendió lo que creía con valentía. Ella no tenía miedo de defender a aquellos que necesitaban apoyo.

Le encantaba ir a conciertos. Ella llevó con orgullo a muchos niños a sus primeros conciertos, presentándoles la magia, energía, zumbido, emoción de la multitud, la música y una introducción à la fanaticada . Estaba lista para llevar a la generación más joven de primas a su primer concierto de “boybands.”

Ella deja atrás a familiares y amigos que la adoraban y que siempre celebrarán la alegría que trajo a sus vidas. Su legado de bondad, aprendizaje y amor vivirá en todos los que la conocieron.

La familia Garza le gustaría agradecer a todos por sus expresiones de simpatía, oraciones y todos los actos de bondad que se les extendieron durante su hora de duelo.
