Maria de Jesus Jimenez Pruneda, 79, passed away on June 5, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Her life will be remembered and celebrated on Saturday, June 14th, 10 AM, at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery.
Maria was born in Canales Tamaulipas, Mexico to Luis and Consuelo Jimenez on December 24, 1945. She devoted the majority her life as a caregiver to children and families of Bethel Church of Houston. She enjoyed dancing, music, and baseball especially her Houston Astros.
Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Consuelo, and three brothers Modesto Jimenez, Pedro Jimenez, and Remijio Jimenez.
Maria is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Erica and David Holleman, Janie and Tony Herrada: grandchildren Dylan Holleman, Nadia Herrada, and Santino Herrada with his spouse Aubrey Herrada. She is also survived by four sisters: Ortencia Sanchez, Juana Cantu, Martha Jimenez, and Maquito Monsivais.
