

A long time resident of Houston and Groveton, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, the 3rd of April, 2014. Born the 10th of July, 1920 in Hendersonville, North Carolina, to Mary Jo and E.J. Pence. Jane attended Jeff Davis High School in Houston. She spent her life serving others and loving and caring for her family and many friends. Always volunteering her services wherever needed. Committed to writing a weekly senior article in the Groveton News working at Groveton Senior Citizen Center, Women In Action, Beneke Methodist and later at Josserand Baptist Church in Groveton.Jane was married for 46 years to her sweetheart, Malcom Dwyer who preceded her in death in 1984. She was also preceded in death by her mother Mary Jo LaPierre and Clayton LaPierre, son Victor and Judy Dwyer, infant son, sister June and brother in law Jack Evans. She is survived by one daughter Diana Gunnels, and her husband Tom Reynolds; four grandchildren, Londie and Harlan Lane, Rory and Patricia Dwyer, Todd and Cindy Gunnels and Troy and (gran-puppy) Buster Gunnels. Great Grand Children, London Lane, Tyler and Derek Dwyer and Austen Gunnels, Nieces Patsy Futrall-Houston, Sharon Queen- Colorado, Rosemary Varsey - Lufkin, Nephews - Vic Dwyer-Austin and Jim Evans - Richardson.Jane was fondly known to her caregivers as "Nanny Girl".
