Marie (Mer) Rains of Galena Park passed away November 15, 2010 at the age of 93. She was born in Houston on Jan 28, 1917 to the late Will Williams and Mary Catherine Pugh. She was preceded in death by husband Hollis Rains and son Gary Rains. She is survived by daughter Eleanor Kay Welborn and son in law Alton. Grandchildren Mark Welborn, Kimberly Kyzer and husband Michael. Great Grandchildren Stephanie Nabors and husband Dusty, Kayla Kyzer and Jedidiah Kyzer. Member of First Baptist Church of Galena Park and 50 year member of Grand Prairie #2190ES.

The Visitation with be from 5-9pm,Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 11am at Forest Park Lawndale with interment immediately following at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
