Marie Tubb

Marie was one of seven children of Norma Sears and Clarence Thomas Carter.

Marie was an amazing mother and loving grandmother and great-grandmother who was involved in the lives of her family and friends. Most of all she was dedicated to her husband Dewey Tubb of 37 years, who preceded her in death in 1968.

Marie had many talents. She was an avid story teller, fisherman, a wonderful cook, marvelous seamstress and outstanding gardner. In her hometown of Gainesville, TX visitors came from all around to admire her hydrangeas, tulips and roses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norma and Clarence; her daughter, Betty Ann Grimes, sisters, Christine, Valerra and Polly; and brothers, Claude and Clarence Carter.

Marie is survived by her sister, Catherine Drennan; daughter, Janet Marie Morgan and husband Jerry; sons, Bobby and wife Rita, Richard and Tommy; grandchildren, Deborah O'Neal, Diana Henry, Clifford Grimes, Robert Tubb, James Tubb, Shelly Tubb, Jeff Morgan, Justin Morgan, Jennifer Robinson, and Susan McKinney; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
