Marjorie Merle Schmidt, born October 24, 1926 to Travis and Eula Lindsey in Houston, Texas, passed away September 14, 2012 in Houston. Marjorie is survived by daughters, Eileen Swanzy and husband, Scott and Cheryl Savitt and husband, Jason; grandchildren, Derrick Speck, Kyle Savitt, Kaitlyn Savitt, and Melissa Swanzy and partner, Austin Govella; great-granddaughter, Naomi Govella; nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many friends. Marjorie was known for her deep love of God, family, and the church.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 at Heights Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 5000 West Tidwell, Houston, Texas 77091. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Houston, Texas.
