Martha Gresham

Martha Lou Gresham went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2018. She was born June 4, 1928 in Scott, Arkansas. Preceding her in death are her parents, William D and Ora Faye Oliver and brothers Billy and Eric Oliver of Arkansas. Also, preceding her in death was her husband of 65 years, JD Gresham. Martha was retired from MJ Auditing. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Pasadena and an active member of the senior adult Sunday School Department until she became homebound. She loved flowers and loved to work in her yard. She also loved to cook and sew. Martha spent many years serving her community with the Pilot Club. She even served as President of the Pilot Club. She loved to travel especially to Arkansas to visit her family and friends. Martha is survived by her brother, James Oliver and his wife Marguerite of Arkansas; sister Patsy Bradley of Ohio; sister Linda Sykes and her husband Allen of Arkansas; and sister Wanda Garren and her husband Lee of Tennessee. Martha is also survived by her daughter, Janet Wheeler and her husband Gene of Pasadena, TX; son, James David Gresham, Jr and his wife Marilyn of Boerne, TX; grandchildren, Amy Myers and husband Jacob of Pasadena, TX, Ashley Barker and husband John of Pasadena, TX, great grandchildren Sara Cunningham and husband Mason of Abilene, TX, Aubree Bucek , Katelyn, Haylee and Ayden Long of Pasadena, TX, and great-great grandchild Carson Cunningham of Abilene, TX.

The family of Martha Gresham would like to sincerely thank you for honoring her memory in your presence today. A special thank you to her caregivers at San Jacinto Manor and to Traditions Hospice.

The funeral services will be held Friday, April 13, 2018, at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
