

Martha Gene Pauler, 81, passed away on June 3, 2026. Born in Houston, Texas on September 7, 1944, Martha attended Travis Elementary School, Hogg Junior High School, and graduated from John H. Reagan High School where she was a member of the National Honors Society. She was a resident of Spring, Texas.
Martha devoted 37 years to teaching at Hamilton Middle School, a steady vocation marked by commitment and purpose. Through decades of service, she helped shape young lives with the kind of dependable presence that is remembered long after the school day ends.
Those who knew Martha will remember how deeply she valued connection. She loved spending time with her beloved friends and family.Martha was a faithful member of the Reagan Class of '63 "Forever Friends" and the Reagan Class of '63 Reunion Committee. She loved socializing, and found joy in traveling—always appreciative of the moments that brought people together and widened the world around her.
Martha also gave her time and energy to the communities that mattered to her. She was a member of Girl Scout Troop 1186 as a young girl and she worked her way through college working as an Information Operator for Southwestern Bell. When she graduated from University of Houston, she began her career as a teacher at Hamilton Middle School, where she taught for 37 years. In her adult life she was a member of the service organizations PEO and Delta Kappa Gamma. She participated in bunco and book clubs, and she taught CCE and was part of a Bible study group, offering her care and attention in ways that were both practical and quietly meaningful.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Helen Riley Allerton and Eugene Thomas Allerton and daughter Deanna Lynn Pauler.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Joe J. Pauler; grandson, Trent Pauler; younger sisters, Rennie Sue McCracken and Janie Honeycutt along with numerous extended family members.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warriors, St. James the Apostle Catholic Church or to the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on June 9, 2026, beginning at 9:30 am. A Rosary Service will follow at Earthman Resthaven on June 9, 2026, beginning at 10:00 am. A Funeral Service will begin at Earthman Resthaven at 10:30am. A Reception will be held at Earthman Resthaven on June 9, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am. A Committal Service will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Dr, Houston, TX 77055, on June 9, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm.
The family is thankful for the love and care in these last days from all her dear friends and family members, and especially want to thank all her caregivers from the nursing home Park Manor Cypress Station.
