Martha Gene Pauler, 81, passed away on June 3, 2026. Born in Houston, Texas on September 7, 1944, Martha attended Travis Elementary School, Hogg Junior High School, and John H. Reagan High School. She was a resident of Spring, Texas.
Martha devoted 37 years to teaching at Hamilton Middle School, a steady vocation marked by commitment and purpose. Through decades of service, she helped shape young lives with the kind of dependable presence that is remembered long after the school day ends.
Those who knew Martha will remember how deeply she valued connection. She loved spending time with her beloved friends and family, enjoyed socializing, and found joy in traveling—always appreciative of the moments that brought people together and widened the world around her.
Martha also gave her time and energy to the communities that mattered to her. She was a member of Girl Scouts as a young girl and in her adult life she was a member of the service organizations PEO and Delta Kappa Gamma. She participated in bunco and book clubs, and she taught CCE and was part of a Bible study group, offering her care and attention in ways that were both practical and quietly meaningful.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Helen Riley Allerton and Eugene Thomas Allerton and daughter Deanna Lynn Pauler.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Joe J. Pauler; grandson, Trent Pauler; younger sisters, Rennie Sue McCracken and Janie Honeycutt along with numerous extended family members.
