Martha Juliet Woods

Martha Juliet Stewart Woods, 96 of Spring, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013. Martha was born on July 15, 1917 in Beaumont, Texas to Peter and Alma Stewart. Martha graduated from the original Sam Houston High School on Rusk in downtown Houston where she rode the streetcar to and from school each day. Martha married William (Bill) Howard Woods on April 3, 1938 and made their home in Houston. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Alma Stewart, her husband,

Bill Woods, her grandson, Paul Deleery, and her sisters, Alma Kelso, Ellen Dewees, and Ruth Meineke. Martha is survived and will be missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Robert Deleery, her grandchildren, Pamela and Richard Wolf and Denise and Jeff Seldenrust. Great grandchildren , Amanda and Kathryn Wolf and Zach, Allie and Jake Seldenrust. Numerous

nieces and nephews. Pallbearers include Richard Wolf, Jeff Seldenrust, Zach Seldenrust, Jake Seldenrust, Gaylon Surratt, and Lesley Meineke. The family will have a public visitation and receive friends on Thursday, January 2nd, 2013 from 1pm to 2pm at the Chapel of the Angels located in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Funeral and interment services will be performed by Terry Spears at 2pm following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made to the charity of your choice.
