Mary Lucille Kennedy Bragg

Our beloved sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother, Mary Lucille Bragg, was born in Burton, West Virginia on Friday, the 2nd of January 1925. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, the 12th of July 2014, at the age of 89.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Inez Kennedy, and her younger brother, Jack. She is survived by daughters Nanci Bragg (OK), Marie Bragg (TX), son David Bragg and his wife, Teresa (FL); brothers Brooks Kennedy (WV), Brent Kennedy and his wife, Margaret (WV), and sister Judy Kennedy (TN), along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great, great grandchild.

Lucille was truly brilliant, lovely, thoughtful, and always ready to make you laugh. She inspired many, especially her children, to be the best person they could be and to always respect others. As a mother, it only took a look of disappointment to change a child's behavior. She accomplished many great things in her life, but none were more precious to her than her family. She will forever be missed. The family is most grateful to her caregiver, Rose, who provided such wonderful care of Lucille in the last year of her life.

It was her wish for cremation and to have no services of any kind. In lieu of customary remembrances, and in honor of Lucille's wishes, please use your money for the betterment of you and your families welfare.
