Mary “Honey” Cain, age 88, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014. A long time member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, she was past president of SOCCO, Society of California Care Home Operators, The Stockton Chapter, and she owned Mary’s Guest Homes, homes for the developmentally disabled, until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her son, Clifford Warren; her parents; 3 sisters; and 4 brothers. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Van Cain; daughter, Kelly Cain Dixon; grandchildren, Dominique Alexis Warren-Perkins and husband Kevin, Diamond Edwards, and Kamryn Dixon; great grandchildren, Syncere, Aaron, AmenMose, and Xy’dus Perkins; and a host of nieces and nephews. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 12:30 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven, with a Visitation just before beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be held privately at a later date at Houston National Cemetery.
