Mary Katherine Fischer, age 74, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013. A very strong, generous, and caring woman, she was a Level 5 Secretary with the US Government for many years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Fischer, and her son, Richard Fischer. Survived by daughter, Cynthia Garcia and husband Ernest; son, Michael Fischer; grandchildren, Darryl Garcia and wife Mary, Stephen Garcia and Amber, Richard Smith, Kymberly Walters, Celeste Fischer, Erika Fischer, Damon Fischer, Christopher Fischer, and Josh Fischer; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Jaxon Garcia and Emery; brothers, Glenn Hailey and wife Janice and Charles Hailey and wife Jackie; sister, Diane Kolb and husband Don; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 19, 2013 at Church of the Redeemer Church, 5700 Lawndale, Houston, Texas 77023. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
