She was married to Jose G Garcia for 47 years and together they welcomed two children, Maryjo (Paul) Alvarez and Joe, and a loving Momo to 3 grandchildren PJ, Zeilic, Mya. She was a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews. Her love was steady and loyal, expressed through the daily acts of care that define a life lived for others—patient, faithful, and deeply inspirational in its constancy.

Mary Helen found happiness in the beauty of home and the comfort of familiar traditions. She enjoyed arts and crafts, decorating, and shopping, and she loved listening to music. She took special delight in decorating the Christmas tree, tending to plants, and sharing the simple pleasure of sweet bread—small joys that, in her hands, became meaningful expressions of love and welcome. She also loved coffee and drinking it with her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on May 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Committal Service will be held at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home & Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on May 29, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
