She was a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mary Helen found happiness in the beauty of home and the comfort of familiar traditions. She enjoyed arts and crafts, decorating, and shopping, and she loved listening to music. She took special delight in decorating the Christmas tree, tending to plants, and sharing the simple pleasure of sweet bread—small joys that, in her hands, became meaningful expressions of love and welcome. She also loved coffee and drinking it with her family.
