Mary Louise Loerch

MARY LOUISE LOERCH, 75, passed away on November 20 after a courageous battle against cancer. Her four children were by her side and she is now in Heaven with her beloved husband, Jim. Mary was born in Houston, TX on January 12, 1935 to parents Samuel and Josephine Lister and spent her life in the Houston area. Mary “Memaw” was passionate about her family and was a wonderfully devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. She was a teacher of values, homemaker, and a loyal friend to many. Her most cherished moments were watching her children become parents, giving a piece of herself to each one of her grandchildren, and leaving her family here on Earth with all the treasured memories that make us who we are. Her Italian cooking translated into family, love and the precious moments we would all spend together. She really enjoyed playing cards, fishing with Dad, sharing her contagious laugh, and gave of herself unconditionally to all. Mary is survived by her children Gina Pletcher and husband Tim; Sammy Loerch and wife Robi; Darcy Loerch and wife Linda; Michael Loerch and wife Melissa; grandchildren Danielle, Keith, David, Jessie, Lauren, Jennie, and Ryan Loerch, Stevi Jo Maytubby and husband Derek, Dawson Adams, Christopher and wife Arlina, Danny and Rachel Pletcher; brother Anthony Lister and wife Evelyn; and numerous cousins and relatives. The family is especially grateful to those who cared for her in her final days, with special thanks to Bobbie Andrews, her personal caregiver, who provided tremendous comfort to Mary and her family. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24 at Saint Edward Catholic Church, 2601 Spring Stuebner, Spring, TX, followed by burial at the Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
