Mary Elizabeth Phillips Melville, 66, born on October 21, 1943 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Joseph Buford Phillips, Sr. and Carrie Elizabeth Skinner Phillips. Mary returned to her parents on September 8, 2010.
Mary was preceded in death by her son Dwight Anthony Melville. She is survived by her husband Eugene Francis McMullen; her children; Kathleen, Stephen, Carrie, and Phoebe; her grandchildren; Jill, Sophia, and Ava; her stepchildren; Kathryn, Beau, and Kevin; step grandchildren Mick, Maegan, and Josh, and brother, Joe Phillips.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held at 2:00 p.m, Sunday, September 19, 2010 in the Bunker Hill Room at The Sheraton Westin Four Points, 10655 Katy Freeway at Beltway 8, Houston, TX 77024, The Rev. Bob Goolsby, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Mary preferred that donations be made to a charity of your choice. The family suggests Vitas Hospice.
Mary gave us a world filled with laughter and purpose which made us feel warm, safe, and loved. She made us happier than she could possibly imagine. Thank you for loving us.
