Mary Louise Schutte

Mary Louise Schutte passed away on February 18, 2021. She was born in Houston, Texas on April 20, 1929 to Charles A. Thiel and Mary Louise Gray Thiel. Mary Louise graduated from Austin High School in 1947. She married her long time school mate, Myles H. Schutte in 1952. They raised their family in Houston, but later retired to Canyon Lake in the early 90’s. She was preceded by his death in 2001 after 49 years of marriage and returned to the Houston area.

Mary Louise worked as an administrative secretary. Her last position before retirement was in HISD. Mary Louise stayed active and busy during her retirement years. She was involved with her Episcopal church, YMCA, and enjoyed traveling. She loved playing Mahjong and 42 dominoes.

Mary Louise is survived by her sons and daughter’s in-law, Charles H. Schutte and Stefanie, Myles P. Schutte and Tina, grandchildren Myles Andrew, Bethany, Dylan, and Cole.

Funeral Services will be March 13, 2021 at Forest Park Lawndale. The family invites you to a viewing at 12:30 with services starting at 1:00 in the chapel.
