Mattie Elaine Guerrant Corder, 99, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017. She was born January 15, 1918 in Huntsville, Texas to Archer and Mattie Baldwin Guerrant. Mattie was preceded in death by her husband, John Morgan Corder. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Corder and wife Kay, Mike Corder and wife Mary; grandchildren, Kenneth M. Corder, Anthony W. Corder and wife Cheryl, Bryan M. Corder and wife Stephanie, Lance M. Corder and wife Erin, Michelle L. Corder; great grandchildren, Taylor Corder, Kyle Corder, Logan Corder, Lillian Corder, Luke Corder, Eleanor Corder, Chloe Corder, Eva Corder, Kaia Rubini-Corder, Chase Corder, Chance Corder and Casey Corder. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 4th from 4-7 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home Chapel of Angels. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, October 5th at 2 PM in the Chapel of Angels. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
