Maynard A. Martin

Maynard A. Martin, age 78, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 in Hockley, Texas. Born in Covington, Kentucky, he moved to Houston, Texas in 1948. He served with the Navy Reserves, was a Boy Scout Master, and received his 50 year Diploma from the Shriner Organization. He was preceded in death by his grandson, SFC Matthew Allen Harvey; parents, William and Juanita Martin; and brother, Fredrick Martin. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Mattie Martin; daughters, Vickie Jordan and husband James, and Donna Psencik and husband Ronnie; grandchildren, Marnie Love, Brad Jordan, Rev. Amanda Davis and husband Alex, Christopher Psencik and wife Dr. Eileen, and Cody Psencik and wife Stephanie; granddaughter-in-law, Crystal Harvey; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Bailey, Amber Love, Allyson Love, Ashley Davis, Aiden Davis, Hunter Harvey, Sophia Psencik, with another on the way; nephew, Carey Lee Martin; sisters-in-law, Carol Ann Martin, and Mary B. Ginsel. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be at 12:30 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2013 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
