Merle “Peewee” Vilven departed this life to rejoin his beloved wife, Elouise Vilven, on February 1, 2016. He was 96 years old. Peewee was born February 2, 1920, in Humble Texas, to Merle and B.I. Vilven. He proudly served his country in World War II, and later established Vilven Body Shop in Houston, Texas where he live a long loving life. Merle is preceded in death by his son James Vilven, and is survived by son Murray Vilven. He is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Matthew Vilven and Sherra Vilven, and is survived by four grandchildren, Shelly Vilven, Shannon Vilven, Kimberly Johnson and Liz Vilven, and numerous loving great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at Forest Park Lawndale 1pm, February 4th, 2016.
