The world lost a beloved spouse, mother, grandmother and friend, Michelle Zwicky, at the age of 75 on August 11, 2021. Michelle was known for sharing her love, laughter, hugs, and faith with all she met. Michelle truly loved Jesus. In fact, Michelle stated many times that her most memorable day was the day she received Jesus Christ into her heart.
Michelle was born in Teaneck, NJ. During her younger days, she travelled & lived in faraway places, first when her family moved to Madrid, Spain and later as she went out on her own, including an adventure in St. Thomas. She was born to loving parents George and Madeline Werner who proceeded her in death along with her first husband, Charlie Walden.
Interesting fact: Michelle was the niece of football legend Vince Lombardi, and her favorite sports team was the Green Bay Packers.
Michelle had a radiating passion for Christ and sharing His message, a deep caring respect for people, and a love of gourmet cooking. She always found a way to make her family and friends feel loved and cherished by preparing special meals for them. Her pies were the delight of any celebration, and she made a special effort to make everyone feel loved with personalized birthday dinners.
Michelle’s proudest career accomplishment was the creation and development of her business Every Good Gift. Later in life she became an accomplished real estate agent. Michelle will be greatly missed as the past event coordinator for Christmas in the Park, an event which she organized flawlessly year after year. She was also a founding member and past President of the Blue Bonnet Society of Austin County, supporting a number of charities. Michelle loved style and earned a degree in Fashion Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
Michelle is survived by many family members, including her beloved husband Marlin, brother Steve and sister Karen. She was blessed to love and be loved by her many children and their spouses (Sally, Shann & Ed, Chris & Kim, Zack & Ryan, and Anne) and many grandchildren and their spouses (Cash, Kim & Danny, Tiffani & Greg, Sophia, Leah, Allison, Connie, Kevin, Marlin, and Ford), as well as great-grandchildren (Brianna, Teagan, Jordyn and Bryan) and so many friends.
Family and friends were invited to say a final goodbye to Michelle during her celebration of life at Grace Community Church at 2:00pm on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
