Miguel Maldonado

Miguel was previously married to Clara Maldonado, who passed away on September 5, 1998. His legacy continues through his loving wife, Maria Maldonado, and his children: Maria Arnold, Emma Maldonado, Manuel Maldonado, Miguel Maldonado, Victoria Lavacca, and Olga Gonzalez, as well as his stepchildren Karla Cook and Axa Shultz. He also leaves behind his 26 beloved grandchildren: Monica Curteman, Marina Pulido, Priscilla Kelly, Jeannie Armstrong, Jennie Herrera, Gilbert Celaya, Jacob Arnold, Derrick Celaya, David Maldonado, Karina Gonzalez, Lauren Maldonado, Sabrina Gonzalez, Elijah Gonzalez, Joshua Lavacca, Clara Esparza, Noelle Lavacca, Daniel Maldonado, Caleb Lavacca, Makayla Cook, Mackenzie Cook, Maximus Cook, Maverick Cook, Matthew Shultz, Zoey Shultz, and Alexis Shultz. Miguel’s proudest accomplishment was his growing family, including his 12 great-grandchildren and the multiple sets of twins within his immediate family.

He brought joy to everyone he met, often showing off his strong muscles, bright smile, and showcasing his special moves. He was a man of Christian faith and happily spent his days praying for everyone he knew. His greatest hope was for his family to remain close and continue spreading the love of God.

Miguel’s presence will be deeply missed, but his love and memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A visitation for Miguel will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will occur Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.

Serving as pallbearers are Derrick Celaya, Gilbert Celaya, Jacob Arnold, Elijah Gonzalez, David Maldonado, Daniel Maldonado, Joshua Lavacca and Caleb Lavacca.
