

Mildred D. Taylor was born April 4, 1927 in Smithville, Texas and passed away September 25, 2015 in Conroe, Texas. Mildred was Christ’s Love exemplified. Her gift was one of hospitality, welcoming any and all who needed a delicious meal or a “home away from home”. Mildred was known for her hugs, being the neighborhood babysitter, a superb cook and baker and everybody’s Grandma who offered a “soft place to fall”. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor to know her.
Mildred is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James D. Taylor; son, James Gary Taylor; granddaughter, Heather Wells and great-grandson Dustin Edwards. She is survived by her sisters, Doris Nagy & husband Joe, Joyce Jakobeit and Elisabeth Barry; brothers, Bill Jakobeit & wife Linda, Jimmy Jakobeit & wife Jean; sons, Larry D. Taylor & wife Janice, Gerald M. Taylor and Ronald N. Taylor & wife Dianne; grandchildren, Tara Skero, LaCressia Machicek, Carol Keuthan, Paul Taylor. Sarah Bass, Thomas Taylor and Brian Taylor; 17 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 5 – 8 pm at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be at 10 am on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home with Rev. Lawrence Kelm and Rev. Ronald N. Taylor officiating. Interment will be at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery with Paul Taylor, Thomas Taylor, Brian Taylor, Bradley Martin, Joseph Bass and Sean Russom serving as Pallbearers.
