Skip was born in Monroe, LA to Hazel and Milton Miller Sr. on March 6th 1944 and is the oldest of 2 children. Being a dedicated American, Skip served in the United States Army over seas as a missile logistics specialist. After leaving the Army, with the skills he acquired during his military service, along with his natural calm demeanor, and people skills, he worked his way up into management and had a long successful career in the telecommunications industry where he developed the majority of his life long friendships. Skip loved fishing with his friends and family and was also an avid photographer and outdoorsman. Every spring and fall he and his wife would take camping trips to capture images of blooming flowers, outdoor landscapes, fluttering hummingbirds, and other wildlife. From a young age, Skip had a strong determination to overcome obstacles and refused to quit when things got tough. Having overcome many challenges in life, he was an inspiration and leader to all that knew him.
Skip is survived by his loving wife Hea Miller, son Johnney Miller, his younger sister Marjorie Mashburn, nephew James Mashburn, and niece Stephanie Mashburn.
