

Milton Ray Swayne Sr., 90, was born on June 23, 1925 in Houston, TX and passed away on April 9, 2016 in Angleton, TX. He was in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946 and during that time he attended Iowa State College. He worked for Houston Lighting & Power for 42 years and was also a Mason, 32nd degree. He was a member of El Mina Shriners as well as a member and elder of Advent Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed golf, fishing, bowling and tinkering.
Milton is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Thelma Swayne; brother, H.J. Swayne; sisters, Beverly Teel and Shirley Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, LaWanda Swayne; son Milton Swayne Jr. and wife Cindy; daughter Mollie Linder and husband David; grandchildren, Cody Swayne, Justin Linder and wife Sarah, Ryan Linder, Casey Swayne, Allison Linder and Caleb Swayne; great granddaughters. Breanna Swayne, Lilly and Joleigh Linder.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 from 12-2:30 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will follow immediately at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
