Minerva Almaguer

January 26, 1930 in Edinburg, Texas, and was received by our Lord in Heaven on April 6, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Saul Cabello, Roberto Cabello, Tomas Cabello, Felipe

Cabello and Maria del Carmen Cabello de Betancourt.

November 24, 1950, Minerva married the love of her life, Jose Guadalupe Almaguer Trevino, in

Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, who predeceased her on March 13, 1992.

Minerva and J. Guadalupe went on to welcome the births of Armando Guadalupe Almaguer,

Rafael Almaguer (may he rest in peace), Adrian Almaguer, Arturo Almaguer (may he rest in

peace), Angelica Almaguer, Alejandro Almaguer (may he rest in peace), and Americo Almaguer.

Minerva was a devoted grandmother to 16 grandchildren, Kimberly Ann, Erica Leticia, Kelly

Ann, Jessica Lorena (may she rest in peace), Veronica Alexis, Able Eugene (may he rest in

peace), Bianca Adrienne, Claudia Crystal, Adrian Aaron, Alejandra Monica, Armando Alejandro,

Alyson Allegra, Andrew Kyle, Bebe Jasmine, Julia, and Isabella Catalina.

Minerva was extremely proud of all of her children, grandchildren, and her 24 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much.

She departed this life before being able to witness the births of the additional three great-grandchildren that are scheduled to arrive this year.

Minerva is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Shirley, Lillie, and Leticia, and her son-in-law,

Ruben Ornelas.

Minerva also leaves behind to mourn her loss, countless nieces and nephews, including, Laura

Gamez, Irasema Betancourt, and Elia Cabello.

Minerva was a talented cook, seamstress and knitter who enjoyed making clothes for her friends

and family.

Most of all, Minerva was a fantastic mother who sacrificed so much for her children.
